Label Artist Album Selection
Lebanese, Palestinian, Israeli, Syrian and Iranian artists demonstrate through music what politicians and governments are seemingly unwilling to do—simply co-exist.
Part 2
In Part Two of this Tangents special the music unites the cultures of Lebanon, Israel and Palestine. We begin with Lebanon's "Ambassador to the Stars" Fairuz, and also hear from Israel's Ofra Haza and Yasmin Levy, and the anguished vocals of Palestinian Reem Kalani. Other highlights include an epic piece from Lebanese oudist Marcel Khalife and the Al Mayadine Quartet, and Yair Dalal's Jewish/Arabic ensemble "Al Ol".
